Boxes NSLO-0001 to 0034 contain incoming and outgoing correspondence, 1869-1945. Much of it concerns applications and payments for lands. Many letters are inquiries about availability and status of land. Others concern disputed claims, payments of installments, and interest payments. There is incoming correspondence from Nevada state agents in Washington, D. C. (Britton & Gray, John Mullan, George Merrill, Isaac Frohman) regarding the selection of state lands from the public domain, along with a letterpress book of outgoing correspondence to the agents. Other letterpress volumes have outgoing correspondence, 1887-1895.
